Will my directv satellite dish work with a universal receiver?

The model number or any other specific details im looking for free channels will this work or any other specific details alright have to use with universal receiver so can pick up free channels will this work or do have to get new.

    No, it won’t work at all.

    Your dish will only pick up the DirecTV signal, not over the air channels. In order to do that you will need to get a standard antenna, either to mount on top of your TV or on your rooftop.

    ETA: Even if you’re looking for satellite signals that are free, your dish won’t work because of the Low Noise Blockers (LNBs) that your dish has. They block out all noise that isn’t from a DirecTV satellite.
