I’m not exactly sure about FTA stuff either. It is very interesting. The google search that I tried, isn’t helping much. I found several sites concerning it though. From what I read of the first site listed, people are selling satellite dishes and stuff like that. The people that buy the dishes can view satellite tv without having to pay the satellite companies, such as Time Warner Cable, Dish Network, Directtv, and the likes. I guess most of this equipment is trademarked or has a copywrite on it. Therefore, if someone else sells anything like it, they ca considered as pirating the equipment. Of course, the BIG SATELLITE COMPANIES don’t want us to have free tv. There was also a comment on the google search about ALL satellite radio stations are free overseas, but not to the US. Imagine that. Well I hope these sites and the information helps you out. These are the sites:

    Good luck…..hope this helped.

An fta system an fta receiver will pick up unencrypted channels it comes across fta is not getting pay services without paying them that adds some channels.
An fta is piracy and against the law you should also consider dtv convertor for your antenna that adds some channels too.
