Your dish will only pick up the DirecTV signal, not over the air channels. In order to do that you will need to get a standard antenna, either to mount on top of your TV or on your rooftop. They block out all noise that isn't from a DirecTV satellite. No, it won’t work at all.

I guess most of this equipment is trademarked or has a copywrite on it. Therefore, if someone else sells anything like it, they ca considered as pirating the equipment. Of course, the BIG SATELLITE COMPANIES don't want us to have free tv. There was also a comment on the google search about ALL satellite radio stations are free overseas, but not to the US.
